Acceptable Use Policy

1. Prohibited Activities

Hovixa services must be used for lawful purposes only. We strictly prohibit:

• Spamming & Phishing: Sending unsolicited bulk emails or hosting deceptive sites to steal user credentials.
• Malicious Software: Distributing viruses, malware, or hosting "command and control" servers.
• Illegal Content: Hosting child sexual abuse material (CSAM), hate speech, or content promoting terrorism/violence.
• Intellectual Property: Hosting "warez," nulled scripts, or any copyrighted material without the owner's permission.

2. Resource Usage & "Fair Use"

To ensure server stability for all clients, we monitor resource consumption. The following are prohibited on Shared and Elite plans:

• System Strain: Using more than 25% of system resources for longer than 90 seconds.
• Storage Abuse: Using your hosting account as a remote storage drive or for purely archival purposes (e.g., storing 100GB of personal photos or PC backups).
• File Distribution: Hosting large-scale file-sharing, "topsites," or video streaming portals that cause excessive I/O load.
• Background Processes: Running stand-alone, unattended server-side daemons or IRC bots.

3. Content Restrictions

Users are solely responsible for the content they upload. We do not allow websites that promote gambling, illegal pharmacy sales, or adult-related content that violates local or international laws. We reserve the right to remove or disable any content that we deem harmful to our reputation or server integrity without prior notice.

4. Security & Maintenance

You are required to maintain the security of your own account. This includes:

• Strong Passwords: Using complex passwords for cPanel, FTP, and Email.
• Software Updates: Keeping CMS platforms (like WordPress) and plugins updated to prevent hacking.
• Unauthorized Access: You must not attempt to bypass server security or access other users' data.

5. Consequences of Violation

Failure to comply with this AUP may result in the following actions:

• Service Suspension: Immediate disabling of your account while an investigation occurs.
• Termination: Permanent closure of your account without a refund for severe or repeat violations.
• Legal Action: We will cooperate fully with law enforcement for any illegal activities discovered on our network.
